SRSYO Collaboration with WCHS Full Orchestra

This is an amazing opportunity for the WCHS Full Orchestra to perform with the Santa Rosa Symphony Youth Orchestra in the beautiful Weill Hall at Sonoma State University. If you are prone to crying at beautiful events, bring lots of tissues. Full Orchestra consists of all strings students in the Orchestra class plus selected wind and percussion students.

Students must check out with Janis after the performance, which will last approximately 1.5 hours.
This field trip is a “Meet at the Event”. That means each student must provide their own transportation to and from the event. Students may NOT drive other students to and from this field trip.
Permission slips have been handed out in class. They are due TOMORROW, Friday, February 25, 2022.
Uniform: Students must arrive completely dressed in their concert attire: black tux jacket and pants, white tux shirt, black tie and cummerbund, metal buttons and cuff links, black dress shoes and SOLID BLACK socks -OR- black uniform dress, black tights, and black dress shoes. (The three SRSYO students should follow SRSYO dress guidelines.)
Food: Food will not be available on-site and there will not be time to leave campus to get food. Please eat prior to arriving on campus. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a snack.
Bring: instrument, music, mask/instrument mask, bell covers, water bottle, snack, and other equipment (rosin, reeds, oil, etc.). All belongings should be labeled with “West County High School”, please see Janis for labels.

Pre-concert (must be purchased by 11 am on the Friday before the concert)
Adult: $15/Youth: $5
At the door Adult: $20/Youth: $10
All students need to complete this survey by Friday, February 25th.
Students will either need to provide proof of Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test to Janis prior to the fundraiser.
For Adult Patrons and youth 5 years of age and older:
Mask and Photo ID are required (waived for children accompanied by parent)
AND one of the following:
Proof of vaccination (See COVID Updates page for acceptable forms)
Negative PCR COVID test (48 hours prior to performance)
Patrons ages 3 to 6: Mask and negative rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the event, either at home or by a laboratory.
Patrons under 3: Mask required for age 2 and older. No tests or proof of vaccination are required.
Parking: $5 at Sonoma State University
