2021-2022 Registration

Attention parents of 9th, 10th and 11th grade students!

The 21-22 class registration form sent to students is incomplete and does not accurately capture band sign-ups. In order for the District to receive correct student numbers for classes, we are asking parents to email Vice President Erin Elliott eelliott@wscuhsd.org the complete list of classes your student wishes to take.

This could be more than the 7 periods permitted in the form. For example, if a student takes Jazz Band and Symphonic Band, they could in theory have an 8-period day if Jazz Band continues to be offered as a zero period. Regardless of the number of electives your student wants to take though, we do ask that you email their full preliminary schedule request to Ms. Elliott so that the band numbers are at least correct. Ms. Elliott would like to receive the updated information by Monday, February 8th. Jazz Band Reminder: except in limited circumstances, a student must be concurrently enrolled in Concert band, Symphonic Band, or Orchestra, in order to take Jazz Band. Mr. Jones will also take a survey of the students in their music classes this week to get a more accurate picture of which students would like to take Band, Orchestra and Jazz Band next year. These results will be shared with Ms. Elliott. Here is a link to that survey. https://forms.gle/7u9RuS1NgPPqJZHG9 This is all preliminary information and in no way locks your students into a certain schedule for next year, but it is very important to show the district that there is a continued demand for instrumental music classes.
